Westphal, Margaret (16 May 1894 - 30 January 1983)

Neillsville -- Mrs. Claude E. (Margaret) Westphal, 88, Neillsville Memorial Home died Sunday evening at Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday at St. John's Evangelical Church, Neillsville. The Rev. N. W. Lindloff will officiate and burial will be in Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Gesche Funeral Home.

The former Margaret Wegner was born May 16, 1894, in the Town of Weston, Clark County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Anna Lange) Wegner and received her education there. She and Claude E. Westphal were married June 26, 1912 in the Town of Weston; he died April 17, 1971. They resided in Greenwood for several years before moving to Neillsville Memorial Home 2 1/2 years.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson and a son, M.W. Westpahl, both of Neillsville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Minne Kalsow, Neillsville; and a brother, Walter Wegner, Neillsville. She was predeceased by her parents, two sons, Harry and William, and a sister.
