John Zupancic was born in Zupece parish of Cerklj, near Krka. He came to America
in 1907. His wife Mary Kranjc was born in the village of Saint Barbara near
Halozah area of Stajerskem. She came to America in 1911. They were married in
West Allis, Wisconsin.
Mr. Zupancic first came to La Salle, Illinois and was there five years. For a
little while he was also in De Pue, Illinois. From there they moved to Waukegan,
Illinois for 19 years. After that they bought a partly developed farm in
Willard. This farm was originally the Will Dameier farm. He sold to Frank
Lamovec and it is now owned by Frank's son.
