Neillsville – Lillian C. Marg, 81, of Memorial Home in Neillsville, died at 9:45
p.m. Monday at the home.
Services were today at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville,
with the Rev. Richard F. Weber officiating. Vocalist was Janice Mayer,
accompanied by Sharon Nemitz. Burial was in Neillsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth, Brad, Steve, Jeff, Terry and Howard Marg.
Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, handled arrangements.
She was born October 28, 1907 in Weston Township, to Paul and Meta Hagedorn. She
attended Globe Lutheran School.
She was married to Edward C. Marg June 2, 1929, at Immanuel Lutheran church in
Globe. He died November 2, 1968.
She worked in Milwaukee a few years before her marriage. She and her husband
farmed in Pine Valley. After her husband’s death, she moved to Neillsville. She
entered Memorial Home in 1983.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Caroline) Helm of Granton; two
sons, Irvin and Donald, both of Neillsville; three brothers, Herman, Julius and
Louis Hagedorn, all of Neillsville; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, a son and four sisters.
