Schlueter, Erna (4 Jun 1906 – 15 Jul 1953)

Mrs. Richard Schlueter, 47, 210 S. Peach Avenue, a former resident of Neillsville, died Wednesday at 8:55 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital. A patient there since July 7, she had been in poor health for two years.

Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, Reverend Adolph Schumann officiating. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery. The body will repose at the Georgas Funeral Home, Neillsville, until 1:30 p.m. Sunday, when it will be taken to the church.

A native of the Town of Weston, Clark County, Mrs. Schlueter, nee Erna Hagedorn, was born June 4, 1906. She attended Fairview School there.

Following her marriage on February 18, 1925, the couple moved to Minnesota, where they farmed one year, then returned to the Town of Weston, where they farmed for 10 years. After leaving there, the couple went to Neillsville, where they remained until 1943, when they moved to Marshfield.

She is survived by her husband, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hagedorn, Neillsville, and the following brothers and sister, all of Neillsville: Herman, Julius, Louis, Mrs. Ed (Lillian Marg), Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Krause, and Mrs. Louis (Helen) Nemitz.

Neillsville – Services for Mrs. Richard Schlueter, 47, who died July 15, 1953 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, were held Sunday.

A former resident here (Neillsville), Mrs. Schlueter had resided in Marshfield the last 10 years.

The Rev. Adolph Schumann officiated at services in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frank Thoma, Albert Mathieson, Richard Rachu, Theodore Mitte, Herman Hemp, and Herman Dux. Wives of the pallbearers handled flower arrangements.

Rodger Dillenbeck, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Oelke, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krause, and Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Parkins, Marshfield; Fred Glasow and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Fritsche, Stetsonville; Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Compton and family, Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. William Schirmacher, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Bertha MacCourt, Oconto; S-Sgt. Irvin A.
