Peissig, Frances E. (1 September 1912 - 18 December 1981)

ABBOTSFORD - Frances Eva Peissig, 69, of Abbotsford, died Friday at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

Funeral services will be Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss, with the Rev. Alan C. Minshall officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss. Friends may call at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

The former Frances Eva Gayken was born September 1, 1912 in Britt, Iowa, and moved to the Curtiss area as a child. She was married to Franklin Peissig June 8, 1932 at Curtiss.

She and her husband operated Peissig's Pitstop Tavern from 1947-1976. They then moved to Abbotsford.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Curtiss Community Club.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Clyde of Curtiss and Claude of Curtiss; two brothers, Lee Gayken of Portland, Oregon, and Sylvester Gayken of Woodburn, Oregon; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son, Clayton, who died July 21, 1980, one sister and one brother.
