Joe Banovec purchased the Ignac Cesnik farm northwest of Willard in 1918. He
sold the farm to John Gregorich.
Joe was known as the Aladdin Lamp salesman in the neighborhood. It was a great
improvement over the regular Kerosene lamps which were used for the evening
homework by the school children.
Mary Banovec, daughter of Joe Banovec, married Joe Jordan.
