Alumni Association Annual Reunion (38th – 7 July 2012)

Thorp High School alumni from around the United States gathered Saturday, July
7, for their 38th annual all school reunion. The event, held at the Quonset
Hall, began with a 4 p.m. social hour, followed by a traditional family style
dinner at 5 p.m. A short program after dinner included highlighting the classes
of 1937 and 1962.
Martha Kobylarczyk Alger and Leon Moczarny of the Class of 1937 were present.
Seven members of the Class of 1962 were in attendance, although their own 50th
class reunion will actually be held in September. Sylvia Krause Collins,
celebrating, the 80th anniversary of her graduation from Thorp High School, was
also introduced to the crowd. The conversation level was high throughout the
event as attendees renewed friendships with former classmates.
The annual meting of the Thorp Alumni Association was held at 10 a.m. Saturday
morning. Officers for 2012-2013 elected at the meeting are: President – Paula
Teclaw Paskert (1968); Vice-President – Richard Boie (1961); Secretary –
HazelBelle Lange (Former Teacher & Honorary Member); Treasurer – Peter Bartl
(1961); Gerri Dudansky (1958) agreed to continue s appointed Assistant
Secretary. Maxine Glasshof (former teacher & wife of Gerald Glasshof – 1948) and
Jackie Glasshof (1981) agreed to accept the positions of co-editors of the
annual newsletter.
Mark your calendars now for the 39th annual TAA Reunion to be held Saturday,
July 6, 2013.
