Nesbitt, Catherine (1 March 1888 - 15 September 1981)

NEILLSVILLE -- Mrs. Catherine Nesbitt, 93, of Neillsville Memorial Home died Tuesday Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Thursday at Gesche Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary L. Clark, pastor of United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Neillsville cemetery. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nesbitt was born March 1, 1888 in Pershire, Scotland, and was educated there. She came to this country in 1912, settling in Chicago.

Her marriage to James B. Nesbitt took place in Chicago in June 1914, and they came to Clark County in 1928 where they farmed in the town of York until retiring and moving to the city in 1951. She has been a resident of Memorial Home the past eight years.

She was a member of United Church of Christ and Carmi Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Mary Jane) Seif of Neillsville; two sons, Al of Neillsville and Martin of Clovis, Minnesota; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her husband died in 1962 and nine brothers and sisters are also deceased.
