Frahmann, Donna (18 DEC 1965)

Miss Donna Frahmann, Minneapolis, became the bride of Kenneth Barr, Colby, in a nuptial service Saturday, December 18, 1965 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger. The Rev. John Younker officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Frahmann, route 1, Unity, and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Barr, Colby.

Attending the bride was Miss Kathy Justman, Milwaukee. The groom’s best man was Steve Koerper, route 1, Delafield. Music during the ceremony included “The Lord’s Prayer” and “O Perfect Love.”

For her wedding, the bride wore a white satin gown with a fitted bodice and appliqued lace flowers with sequin and pearl stems. The gown had a chapel length train. She wore a chapel veil and carried a bouquet of red poinsettia, white carnations and red garnette with holly foliage.

The maid of honor wore a gown with a floor length fitted skirt of white peau de soie and a red velvet bodice with long sleeves. She carried a bouquet of red poinsettia and white pompons.

The church was decorated with Christmas trees and poinsettias.

The ceremony was followed by a dinner in the church parlors and a reception at the home of the bride’s parents. Present were 75 guests from Colby, Abbotsford, Milwaukee, Unity, Madison, spencer, Medford Tomahawk, Stetsonville, Marshfield, and Minneapolis.

The couple left on a wedding trip covering Wisconsin. The bride was employed as an engineer clerk, and the groom is serving with the U.S. Air Force.
