St. Hedwig’s Helps Homeless Vets (Raffle – 1 September 2012)

Many homeless veterans were blessed by the donations brought to St. Hedwig’s Open House on September 1. Quilts, jackets and many knitted items were donated.

Donations of winter items can again be dropped off at the following drop boxes – D & J Farm and Home in Thorp, O-W Sport & Liquor, Creekside Convenience, and Midway Truck and Auto in Owen. We are looking for flannel, denim and blue jeans that will be made into quilts by a group of five churches from Medford.

The winners of the pontoon raffle drawn on September 1 are as follows: Pontoon – Laura Rautman (Vaught Smith purchased ticked at O-W Sport & Liquor); Quilt – Bob Wnek; Case of Wine – Lindsay Meissner; Packer Collectibles – Craig Morello.

Pictured is Craig Morello winning his treasured Packer items.
