Arciszewski Family (Century Farm and Home – 6 August 2013)
William and Patricia Arciszewski, along with family members Delores and the late Stanley Arciszewski, Nancy (Tom) Bogumill, and Arlene (Dennis) Meyer, of Thorp were recently honored at the 2013 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, for their Century Farm and Home.
The Century Farm and Home Award Program began in 1948 as a part of Wisconsin’s Centennial Celebration, a 23-day Wisconsin State Fair. The program honors families who have had continuous ownership of their Wisconsin farm or home for 100 years or more. For the past 39 years, Hillshire Farm of New London, Wisconsin, has hosted the Breakfast Awards Program.
On Tuesday, August 6 at the Wisconsin State Fair, Hillshire Farm recognized 126 Century Farm and Home families. Over 8,700 Century Farms and Homes have been honored since the start of the program.
Other area honorees included Esther M. Niedzwiecki of Owen, Linda Hill of Owen, Romadka View Holsteins of Granton, Seehafer Farm of Marshfield, Sandy and Jerry Sromek of Gilman, Edward. Frank, and William Kostlevy of Loyal, and Vicki and Allen Steffen of Greenwood.
