Wolfe, Edward (13 September 1900 - 26 August 1981)

SPENCER — Mr. Edward Wolfe, 80, of Route 1, Spencer, died Wednesday morning at Colonial House Nursing Home in Colby.

Services will be Monday at Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Charles Strong, pastor of Spencer United Methodist Church, will officiate. Soloist will be Duane Helgerson with Mrs. Carol Snelling as organist. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville.

Pallbearers will be members of Marshfield Lodge 224 of Free and Accepted Masons.

Mr. Wolfe was born Sept. 13, 1900 in Ontario, Canada and attended school there. He moved to the U.S. in 1916 and worked in various lumber camps. He worked as a machinist from 1929 to 1947 in Chicago, He then moved to Pittsville where he farmed and was employed with Roddis Plywood and later Nekoosa Edwards Paper Co. After his retirement in 1975 he moved to Route 1, Spencer.

He married Susan Larson in 1933 in Chicago and she survives.

He was a member of Kenwood Lodge No. 800 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Blue Island, Illinois, the Chapter and Council, also in Blue Island and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Chicago, Illinois.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. David (Jean) Morrison of Pittsville; two sons, Edward and William; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Borden Wolfe of Mitchell, Ontario, Canada, and one sister, Mrs. Edwin (Margaret) Schimmel of Countryside, Illinois.
