Kittl, James A. “Jim” (19 FEB 1950 – 25 JUN 2020)

James “Jim” A. Kittl, age 70, of Colby, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dorchester Memorial Hall on Thursday July 2, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm. Military Honors provided by the Colby VFW Post #2227.

Jim was born on February 19, 1950 the son of Hank and Rose (Pollack) Kittl in Abbotsford. Jim served the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Resler on January 4, 1973 in Sheboygan, WI. Jim had several jobs over the years until he retired from Marathon Cheese Corp.

Jim always had people laughing with his jokes. He could light up the room with his sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, hunting, woodworking, tractor pulls (watching and participating), and gambling. Most importantly, his joy in life was his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Jim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy; his children: Gwen Kittl of Abbotsford, Jesse (Trisha) Kittl of Abbotsford, Adam (Brandi) Kittl of Marshfield, and Heather (Clayton) Zittlow of Whittlesey; eight grandchildren: Keylee, Jayden, Cortney, Hunter, Matthew, Lucas, Samantha, and Megan; and his great-granddaughter, Averie. He is further survived by his mother, Rose; aunt: Alice Kittl; uncle: Kenny Pollack; step-siblings: Albert Ludwig, Brenda Doberstein, Jeffrey Ludwig, and Michael Ludwig; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father: Hank and grandparents: John and Margarite Pollack.
