Zudonyi, Joseph (3 August 1917 - 6 August 1981)

OWNE -- Joseph Zudonyi, 64, of Jim Falls died Thursday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Services will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen. The Rev. Richard Fliss will officiate and burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Mr. Zudonyi was born August 3, 1917 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He married Elaine Vetterkind August 8, 1945. They lived in the Owen-Withee area from 1948-55 and then lived for 21 years in Highland Park, Illinois, where he worked for the U.S. Army Engineers at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. The past seven years he resided at Jim Falls.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Coddat (Cadott?).

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mary Ann Zudonyi of Chicago; four brothers, Julius Zhadani of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Frank and Geza Zudonyi, both of South Milwaukee, and Beyla of Waukegan, Illinois.

He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Milwaukee.
