Kopp, Jennifer Ellen (22 September 1973 – 13 June 2020)

Jennifer E. Kopp, 46, of Madison, formerly of Neillsville, died on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Madison.

Jennifer Ellen Kopp was born on September 22, 1973 in Neillsville, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Sue (Hoffmann) Kopp. She attended Special Education Classes at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville starting at the age of three. She then attended Neillsville Schools before moving to Princeton, in 1990 and later to the Madison area. Jenny graduated from Stoughton High School in 1994. After graduation, she worked at an Opportunity Development Center in Stoughton. Jennifer loved acting and worked at the Encore Studio for the Performing Arts for 20 years as an actress.

Jennifer took part in the Special Olympics and the Wisconsin Lions Camp when she lived in the Neillsville area. When she moved to Madison, she was active with Badger Camp, bowling, a volunteer for the Humane Society and Three Gaits – Therapeutic Horsemanship Center. Jenny was also an avid sports fan. She cheered on the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks; She was able to go on the field several times for Wisconsin Badger football games and on several occasions, she threw out the first pitch at Madison Mallard baseball games.

She is survived by her father, Ted Kopp (Bernie Seidl), step-father, Larry Kyle, both of Neillsville, siblings, Angela (Jim) Linneman, of Eau Claire, Brad Kopp of Wausau, and Melissa Homan of Waupun, nieces and nephews, Rachel (Joe) Zimmer, Amanda Kopp, Madison and Hope Homan. She is further survived by 5 step-siblings, Scott (Jill) Kyle, Becky (Bruce) Hynes, Brenda (Dave) Nevins, Renee (Tom) Konter, and Justin (Cassie) Seidl.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sue Kyle, grandparents, Nelda and Carl Hoffmann and Ted and Doris Kopp.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Gesche Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers of Memorials may be directed to the Encore Studio for the Preforming Arts, %Kelsy Schoenhaar, Executive/Artistic Director, 1480 Martin Street, Madison, WI 53713.
