Osowski, Alice (Marriage – 14 March 1976)

Alice Osowski of Thorp and Jerome Laski of Rt. 1 Withee, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, August 14, in a 3:30 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp by the Rev. John Puerner. A reception followed at the Meadowview Country Club in Owen.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph Czernicki of West Allis and the late Mrs. Clara Czernicki. She was presented in marriage by her son, Thomas Osowski. The groom is the son of the late Joseph and Gabrilla Laski.

A bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath complimented the bride’s gown of light blue voile over taffeta trimmed with white lace. A large net bow adorned her light blue picture hat.

Anna Mae Lindgren of Owen, friend of the bride, was her matron of honor, and Claire Landonis of Cressona, Pa., niece of the groom, was the bridesmaid. They wore gowns of blue, white and yellow floral print voile over taffeta accessorized with light blue picture hats. Each carried a single, long stemmed yellow mum.

David Osowski, son of the bride, served as bestman. James Laski of Owen, brother of the groom, and Joseph Czernicki of Franksville, brother of the bride, acted as ushers.

Pat Nelson, St. Paul, Mn., was the organist and Joanne Wittek, Thorp, the soloist.

The bride was honored at a prenuptial shower given by Mrs. Kris Rasmussen of Owen.

The new Mrs. Laski is employed as a nursing assistant at the Clark County Heath Care Center at Owen. Her husband is engaged in dairy farming.

They will live on Rt. 1 Withee, upon their return from a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin.
