Mr. and Mrs. Terry Mantor are making their home at Dochester after a Canadian vacation.

The marriage of Miss Christine Waldhart and Terry Mantor took place Saturday, August 21, 1965 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester. The Rev. Gerald F. Schuh officiated at the 12:30 o’clock nuptial mass, for which the Children’s Choir sang, with Sr. M. Fedelia as organist. Vases of yellow and white gladioli and chrysanthemums adorned the altar for the occasion.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Rhyner of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Mantor of Abbotsford are the parents of the couple.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown which she fashioned of ice-green bridal satin with white crystalette. It was designed with a rounded neckline, skirt with inverted pleats in front to create an overskirt effect and a short train. White rose applique was seen on the neckline and front pleats, and a white rose headpiece held her bouffant elbow length veil. She carried an arrangement of white mums and pompons with stephanotis intertwined with ivy.

Attending the couple were Miss Gale Waldhart of Dorchester and Jim Mantor of Abbotsford as honor couple, and Miss Sue Mantor of Abbotsford and Miss Debby Rhyner of Dorchester as bridesmaids, and Tim Mertens of Dorchester and Stanley Brehm of Colby as groomsmen.

Terry Seubert of Dorchester and James Brehm of Colby seated the guests, who came from Dorchester, Abbotsford, Colby, Owen, Milwaukee, Medford, Stetsonville, Westboro, Green Bay, Waukesha, Jefferson, Wisconsin, Duluth and Red Wing, Minnesota, and Chicago, Illinois.

The bride’s aides wore dresses alike in floor length of mint green sheer embroidered nylon organdy over taffeta. The sleeveless bodices were topped with elbow length jackets with which they wore lace gloves. They wore matching headpieces and carried fireside baskets of white carnations and yellow mums.

For her daughter’ wedding, Mrs. Rhyner chose a blue lace dress with matching jacket. The groom’s mother wore a blue street dress and both mothers had corsages of red roses with feathered white carnations.

Approximately 200 guests joined the new Mr. and Mrs. Mantor at a dinner and reception at Jerkwater Club, Dorchester.

The bride, a 1862 graduate of the Dorchester High School, is a 1963 graduate of the Career Academy as a medical assistant. She is presently employed as secretary for Rhyner Tie Co., Stetsonville. Mr. Mantor, a 1960 graduate of the Colby High School, is a truck driver for the Abbotsford Lime Service, Abbotsford.
