Danielewicz, Norman E. (19 AUG 1940 – 14 MAR 2020)
Norman E. Danielewicz, age 79, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 14,
2020, at Turner Integrity Care in Thorp. A graveside service will be held at
11:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, in
Thorp, with Rev. Baskaran Sandhiyagu officiating. Military rites will be
conducted by the Thorp American Legion Post #118. A Celebration of Life for
Norman will be held following the graveside service at Yellowstone Park on the
east side of Thorp from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Norman Edwin Danielewicz was born on August 19, 1940, in the Town of Butler,
rural Thorp, the son of Chester E. and Henrietta L. (Reineke) Danielewicz. He
was raised on the family farm, attended area schools, graduating from Thorp High
School in 1958. After completing his education, Norm enlisted in the U.S. Army
and served from July 24, 1959, until his honorable discharge on July 9, 1962. He
was united in marriage to Sandra L. Laudenschlager on October 20 1962, at St.
Hedwig's Chapel in Thorp. Norm worked as a plumber for Casey Kubiszewski and
Dave Hull until 1984. In addition to operating his own hobby farm, he continued
working as a union plumber until retiring in 2002. After retiring, Norm and
Sandy enjoyed spending winters in Texas and Florida, and camping during the
summers in Wisconsin.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, bowling,
and pitching horseshoes.
Norm was a member of the Rock Dam Rod & Gun Club.
He is survived by his three children: Norman M. (Patti) Danielewicz of Thorp,
Susan Streck (Darrell Bosman) of Sturgeon Bay, Stephanie Danielewicz (Randy
Schesel) of Thorp; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister,
Linda (Greg) Sniegowski of Rudolph, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sandra, on September 3,
2011.
