Humbird H S Class of 1928 (Reunion - 1976)

The reunion of the Class of 1928 cannot go unnoticed for it was a real success.

They met in the Community Hall for a 6 o’clock dinner, which was served by the ladies of the Community Club, who were highly complimented.

The guests, 45 in number, were seated at decorated tables. Toasts were given, and a gala mood, in spite of the heat, was evident. A program had been prepared, but due to the real fellowship much was forgotten.

One lady was to have read a poem said, “I’ve forgotten to bring it and I never could read it anyway.”

Among those from away were Wayland Waters, New York City; Mr. Filby (a teacher) Fond du Lac; Willard Bowling, Milwaukee; Ed Noyes, Ruth Peterson, Herb Green, Alice (Michaels) Henderson of Eau Claire; and many more.

It is rumored that plans are in the making to make it an alumni affair, taking in all years’ graduates and to meet every two years.

Much laughter and some tears were shed as friends met. All agreed it was a marvelous time and wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
