Munkholm, Judith Jennifer (Marriage – 10 July 1976)
Marriage vows were repeated Saturday, July 10, at Immanuel Lutheran Church,
Globe, by Miss Judith Jennifer Munkholm and Bernard Kolano. Officiating at the 2
p.m. ceremony was the Rev. Ralph Stuebs. A 3 p.m. reception was held at the
Silver Dome Fireplace, Inc.
The bride, presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Munkholm. Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Kolano are the groom’s parents. All of Rt. 2
Neillsville.
For her wedding day, the bride chose a gown of satin with lace applique,
featuring georgette crepe sleeves and ruffling and lace-appliqued satin cuffs.
Her floor-length illusion veil was attached to a cap headpiece. She held a
single, pink silk rose.
Bridal attendants Mrs. George (Janice) Baho of Milwaukee, matron of honor, and
Mrs. Mike (Shelley) Bauer of Eau Claire and Mrs. Fred (Jane Ann) Munkholm, Jr.,
of Madison, bridesmaids, each carried a single white rose. Their blue rose-print
gowns were styled with short sleeves and hemline ruffling.
The groom was attended by Chuck Boyer as bestman and Bob Petkovsek and John
Kolano as groomsmen. Guests were seated by Mark Munkholm and Kevin Hilliard.
Soloist Connie Hagedorn sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Wedding Prayer.” Karen
Hoppa was the organist.
The bride was honored at an prenuptial shower given by Miss Susie Bauer, Mrs.
Connie Hagedorn, Mrs. Shelley Bauer and Mrs. Maurine Bauer. A July 8 rehearsal
dinner was hosted by the Munkholms.
The newlyweds are both Neillsville High School Graduates. She is employed at a
local radio station and he is employed by a forest products firm.
They will live in the Neillsville area upon returning from a wedding trip to
Northern Wisconsin and Canada.
