Apfelbeck, Janet Ruth (25 SEP 1971)

Miss Janet Ruth Apfelbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude J. Apfelbeck, Abbotsford, and Robert E. Fleenor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rudolph, Gilman, were united in marriage in the Dorchester Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses by Mr. Robert Ruprich on September 25, 1971.

The groom’s brother, Paul Rudolph, Stanley, was best man, and the groomsmen were Gregory Apfelbeck, brother of the bride, and Karl Noah, Neillsville, and Dave Koutney, Eau Claire. The ushers were Wayne Lindberg, Abbotsford and Bernard Labunder, Dorchester.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Paul Rudolph, Stanley. The bridesmaids were Miss Wendy Dunn, Bennington, Vermont, cousin of the brid; Miss Pamela Weber, Abbotsford, cousin of the bride, and Miss Mary Ann Wojcik, Spencer.

The bride wore a soft satin princess style gown, trimmed with tiny beaded lace and white climbing roses. She carried a bouquet of pale pink roses, lilies of the valley, baby’s breath and trailing ivy.

The bride’s attendants were chiffon gowns in the pastel shades of pink, blue, green and yellow, with wide white picture hats, and each carried baskets of colorful daisies and carnations.

The bride’s mother, Mrs. Claude Apfelbeck, played the cello rendition of “Oh Promise Me,” and the “Bridal Chorus.” Jay Block was the organist.

The reception was held at the Abbotsford City Hall, and dance was held at the Trianon in the evening.

The bride is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and was a nurse’s assistant at the Colonial House of Colby. The groom graduated from Holcombe High School and attended Eau Claire Technical School, and is employed at Wick Building Systems of Spencer.

After a wedding trip, touring the southern states, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fleenor will make their home in Abbotsford.
