Kuehn, John J. (31 May 1895-24 February 1981)

Services for John J. Kuehn will be Thursday at Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. Virgil E. Taylor of First Presbyterian Church is to officiate. Duane Helgerson and Carol Snelling will provide music. Hillside Cemetery is to be the burial site.

Mr. Kuehn, 85, Route 2, town of Marshfield, was dead on arrival Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born May 31, 1895 in Greenwood to Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand (Mary Scheit) Kuehn and attended rural schools there. On November 25, 1920 in Greenwood, he and Elsie Orsburn were married.

The couple farmed in Greenwood until moving to Marseilles, Illinois in 1945. in 1950, they returned to Greenwood to farm and then moved to Marshfield in 1952. He was a self-employed carpenter here until 1960, when he retired.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Mrs. William (Irene) Lowe of Tomahawk and Dale Kuehn, Route 2, Marshfield; one grandchild; one brother, Hubert Kuehn of Greenwood; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Giesler of Neillsville; and one half-brother, Helmuth Siems of Port Edwards.

One great-grandson is deceased.
