Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Zettler Sr., a resident of the Leahy Nursing Home, celebrated her 90th birthday Friday, July 2, with a party ine her honor.

Mrs. Zettler was born at St. Nazianz, Wisconsin, July 2, 1881. She married Frank Zettler in 1900. He preceded her in death in October 1965. After their marriage they came to farm near Athens. She has resided at the Leahy Nursing Home for the past three years.

She had 12 children, of which seven are living. Children that are living are Arnold Zettler, Pt. Arena, California; Mrs. Charles Maurer (Irene), San Jose, California; Martin Zettler, Athens; Frank (Pat) Zettler Jr., Athens; Melvin Zettler, Loyal; Mrs. Peter (Delores) Boris Sr., Athens; and Mrs. Norbert (Bernice) Calmes, Athens.

Cake and coffee were furnished by the nursing home in her honor.

Relatives attending the party on Friday were Mrs. Melvin Carter, Colby; Mrs. Sylvester Kulas and Mrs. Frank Pecher, and also the residents of the nursing home.

Other relatives that came over the weekend to wish her a happy birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Zettler, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Zettler, Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Calmes, Athens.

Mrs. Zettler was also presented with a corsage from her daughter-in-law and family, Mrs. Alton Zettler.

Deceased children are Ervin Zettler, Mrs. Frank (Viola0 Pecher, Bill Zettler, Alton Zettler, and Mrs. Harold (Marcella) Radke.

She also has 55 grandchildren, approximately 140 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchildren. Two of Mrs. Zettler’s grandchildren, Mrs. Sylvester Kulas and Carlton Pecher, live in Abbotsford.

Her hobby is knitting.
