NHS Class of 1976 (Honors - 1976)
Named to the two top scholastic positions for the 1976 graduating class of
Neillsville were Susan Van Dam and Karen Alsterberg. Sue, named Valedictorian,
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Van Dam. She was active in the girls’
athletic association; the letterman’s club, pep club, student council, Spanish
club, vice president of the Future business leaders; National Honor Society;
Spanish Honor Society, junior and senior class plays, annual staff, forensics,
girls’ basketball and volley ball; Latin club and basketball statistician.
Karen, named Salutatorian, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alsterberg. She
was active in the girls’ athletic association, Future teachers, pep club,
Spanish club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and served as editor
of the annual.
