Williams, Shirley A. (9 NOV 1947 – 25 APR 2020)

Shirley A. Williams, 72, Thorp, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. A celebration of life will be held in Thorp at a later date.

Shirley Ann Williams was born on Nov. 9, 1947, in Stanley, the daughter of Dewey J. and Clara (nee Fillipek) Williams. She was raised on the family farm in the town of Reseburg and received her education at Moddy School. At a young age, she was involved in a car accident that physically set her back for the rest of her life. Shirley lived with her parents and worked at ADS in Greenwood for many years. She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family and friends, watching games shows and soap operas, playing cards, and playing solitaire on her computer. Shirley was always a very happy and positive person with a huge smile, a big heart, and kind words for others.

Shirley will be dearly missed by two brothers: Rollie (Kathy) Williams of New Berlin, and James (Diane) Williams of Willard; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Richard “Dick” and Darrel “Dewey” Williams.
