LOYAL-- Verna Schmidt, 77, Loyal, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hopital Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield.

Services will be Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with the Rev. Joseph R. Kraly officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Loyal.

Visitation will be at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal.

She was married to Ervin Schmidt November 7, 1936, at the Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1986.

After her marriage, she and her husband farmed in the town of Beaver. They moved to the city of Loyal in 1965. She worked for the Star Lodge Motel, Loyal, and Fred's Bakery, Loyal.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Norman and Kenneth, both of Loyal, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents.
