Phillips-Day, Shirley (11 August 1942-10 July 1998)

Shirley Ann Phillips, 55, Waupaca, formerly of Loyal, died Friday, July 10, 1998, at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca.

Services will be Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, the Rev. Roman Kaiser officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal.

Shirley was born on August 11, 1942 in Loyal, the daughter of Eugene and Alice (Schmidtke) Wehe.

On August 13, 1960, she was married to Leslie Phillips at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. He died on August 7, 1971.

In 1976, she was married to Richard Day. He died in 1996.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen (Tim) Lange, Stevens Point; two sons, Bruce, (Laura) Phillips, Watertown, New York and Brian (Kathy) Phillips, Stevens Point; her father, Eugene Wehe, Marshfield; two sisters, Margaret Trader, Marshfield, and Kathy Niswonger, Charlotte, North Carolina; eight brothers, Eugene (Carol) Wehe, Juneau, Alaska, William Wehe, Long Beach, California, Michael (Judy) Wehe, Elk Horn, Richard (Gwen) Wehe, Montello, Roger (Kitten) Wehe, Loyal, Duane Wehe, Waupaca, James Wehe, Garden Grove, California and David (Wendy) Wehe, Fort Atkinson; and seven grandchilldren.
