Melvin J. Brandner (1 Dec 1928 – 1 Jun 1994)

Melvin J. Brandner, 65, Medford, died June 1, 1994, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had bee a patient for nine days.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. Burial will be in Medford Catholic Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Medford. After 25 years with Hurd Millwork, Medford, he worked for Weather Shield Manufacturing, Medford, from 1973 until retirement in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Ludwig) Brandner; one daughter, Kathy (Steve) Strebig of Medford; three sons, Gregory (Anita) of Plymouth, Minn., Patrick (Barb) of Eau Claire and Randy (Joan) of Merrill; his mother, Mrs. Frances Brandner of Medford; four brothers, Norbert (Mary Lou) and Leon (Lucille) both of Medford, Bernard (Beulah) of Green Bay and Darrell (Nancy) of Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Mary (Norbert) Schumacher of Marathon and Monica (Tom) Danen of Maysville, Ky.; and nine grandchildren.
