Helm, Axel (23 August 1888-6 April 1957)

LOYAL--Services will be held Tuesday morning at St. Anthony's Catholic Church here for Axel J. Helm, 68, who died early Saturday at his home after a stroke. He had been ill for several weeks.

A general rosary will be said tonight at the Myre Funeral Home.The Rev. Norbert King will celebrate the funeral Mass and burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

A native of Soderhamm, Sweden, Mr. Helm came to the United States at the age of 18 years. He lived in Highwood, Illinois and Racine for five years before moving to Loyal, where he was engaged in carpenter work. He married Miss Frances Bauer here in 1916.

Survivors are the widow; four children, James, Loyal, Richard and Mrs. Douglas (Delores) Adair, both of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Lowell (Florence) Christesen, Brighton, Colorado; one brother, Erhart, Sweden;; one sister, Mrs. John (Olga) Bjork, Highwood, Illinois; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
