Fasnacht, Bernard F. (2 NOV 1911 – 17 SEP 1972)

Bernard F. Fasnacht, age 60, Gilman resident, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Sunday morning.

He was born November 2, 1911 at Madison Lake, Minnesota, the son of Joseph and Mary Fasnacht. He came to Gilman when he was seven years old, and on June 19, 1935, was united in marriage to Victoria Giwojna at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman.

They have farmed in the Gilman area for many years, until two years ago when they moved to the village of Gilman. They have resided there since.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria of Gilman; two sons, Roger of Orlando, Florida, and Jerome of Greenfield, Wisconsin; four daughters, Mrs. Theron (Joyce) Pagel of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Chester (Angeline) Kosik of Milwaukee, Mrs. Donald (Carol) Andruskiewicz of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and Mrs. Marlin (Judith Sutton of Norfolk, Virginia; seven grandchildren; one brother, Leo of Madison Lake, Minnesota, and three sisters, Mrs. Art (Lucy) Amble of Green Bush, Wisconsin, Mrs. Don (Mary) Haasl of Ladysmith, and Mrs. Dennis (Ida) Schrandt of Charles City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents on one sister.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, with Father Fredrick Brost officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
