Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stegwell, 3745 W. 71st Street, Chicago, recently celebrated their Silver Anniversary with a morning Mass at Queen of the Universe Church, in which the couple renewed their marriage vows and received the Papal blessing. The Reverend Msgr. Robert J. Hagarty officiated at the ceremony. The Stegwells were married on June 28, 1947, at Holy Cross Church.

Immediately following, a brunch was served to 55 people at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Halagera, 7921 S. California, sister of Mrs. Stegwell.

In the evening, a reception was held at the Gold Coast Banquet Hall for 140 guests. This was also a special family reunion held for Mrs. Stegwell’s mother, brothers and sister, and their family, who came from Wisconsin.

The Stegwells also celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Hawaii in June, when they toured the Islands of Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii for 15 days. They enjoyed the Don Ho show and the Hawaiian band in Fern Grotto, Kauai, which played the Hawaiian Wedding Song in their honor..

The Stegwells have one son, David, who is employed at Nabisco.

Mr. Stegwell has worked for Western Electric Company for 36 years.

His wife has been active in mission work for nine years. Her hobbies are sewing and crocheting.
