Romanowski, Joseph (20 JAN 1910 – 13 JUL 1972)

Joseph Romanowski, 62, Town of Taft, route 2, Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.), died suddenly on Thursday afternoon, July 13th, 1972.

He was born in Lublin (Taylor Co., Wis.) February 20, 1910. On November 8, 1939 he married Dorothy Linsein, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). They farmed in the Town of Taft since.

He was active in the Poplar Grove 4-H Club and was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Ronald, Gilman, Larry and James, route 2, Stanley; five brothers, Paul, Chicago, John, Wausau, Tony, Gilman, William, Stanley, Ed, Thorp; five sisters, Mrs. Joe Zaremba, Chicago, Mrs. Louis Larson, International Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. Steve Luzinski, Springfield, Illinois, Mrs. Louie Luzinski, Thorp, Mrs. Roman Tyznik, Thorp, and nine grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, July 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, with Fathers Frederick Brost and Alphons Zoltowski officiating.. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
