Catherine Mary Zielanis, daughter of Mr. and Mr.s Alfred Zielanis of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Genelin, Le Seur, Minnesota, in a double ring ceremony performed by the Reverend Father John Puerner on Saturday, June 17, 1972 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp.

The bride was attired in a gown of sheer organza, with Venice lace bodice and cuff, which featured Camelot sleeves with scalloped square neckline, a full A-line skirt, and empire waist. The Mantilla veil was trimmed in matching Venice lace. She carried a cascade of red roses, white carnations, and baby's breath.

Joanne Zielanis of Thorp was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marion Genelin of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Arlene Zielanis of Columbia, Missouri. They wore self-fashioned floor length gowns of multi-colored floral design. White lace accented the neckline and cuffs of the empire dresses. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of white and blue carnations.

Paul Hayden of St. Cloud, Minnesota attended the groom as best man. John Hillery, Madison and Jerry Meyer, St. Paul, Minnesota, were groomsmen. Jerry Hodorowski and Donald Hodorowski, both of Thorp, ushered.

Mr. Roger Truckey played the organ preceding and during the ceremony. Mr. Jerry Meyer sang "I Believe" and "The Lord's Prayer." Mrs. Patricia Wyczawski and son, Jeffery, carried the offertory to the altar.

The reception was held at the American Legion Hall immediately following the ceremony. The Gerald Wiles Band provided for an evening of dancing. The four-tier cake was served by Janet Finely, Richland Center; Susan Trusewicz, Kansas City, Kansas; Kathleen Hillery, Chippewa Falls, and Lori Pernsteiner, Marshfield.

Following a trip to Northern Michigan, the couple will make their home in St. Paul, Minnesota.
