Thorp area students have received two of 37 scholarships awarded this week by the University of Wisconsin Marathon County Center in Wausau.

Doreen Osowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Osowski, Rt. 1, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Greg Sokolowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley J. Sokolowski, 305 W. Franklin Street, Thorp, both received Petersdorf scholarships.

The awards were presented Sunday, April 30, 1972, at UWMC's annual student awards convocation. The event, featuring an address by Dr. Leonard Haas, Chancellor of the UW, Eau Claire campus, was part of UWMC's 25th anniversary celebration.

Miss Osowski and Mr. Sokolowski are both high school seniors at Thorp High School, and the scholarships are for study and UWMC next year.
