Patrick, Susan Gail (15 APR 1972)

Miss Susan Gailr Patrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Patrick, Conrath, Wisconsin, became the bride of Nicholas Edward Klapatauskas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on Saturday, April 15th, 1972. Reverend Michael Mertens performed the one p.m. marriage ceremony at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard (Clark Co.). Miss Diane Klapatauskas played the organ, while Mrs. Viva Fleming sang.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white gown of cotton eyelet with stand-up collar, natural waistline and full sleeves with Victorian cuffs. A Juliet type headpiece with scattered seed pearls held her bouffant chapel length veil She carried a bouquet of red roses, daisies and baby's breath.

Mrs. John Monday Jr. was matron of honor and Miss Mary Joe Patrick, Mrs. Jim Doepke, Miss Leeann Patrick and Miss Karen Klapatauskas were bridesmaids. They wore floor length pink floral gowns styled with bouffant sleeves and stand-up collars. Each carried pink parasols with daisies in their hair.

Arlen Klapatauskas was his brother's best man, and groomsmen were: Rand Klapatauskas and Ralph Patrick. Ushering duties were done by John Monday Jr. and Jim Doepke.

A dinner and reception for 400 guests were held in the church hall, with a dance held in the evening at the Thorp Legion Hall.

The bride, a Thorp Elementary School Teacher, attended Mt. Scenario College, Ladysmith. The groom who attended Milwaukee School of Engineering, Triangle Fraternity and graduated in 1970, is a self-employed logger.

The new couple will make their home at Thorp.
