Zasoba, Leslie Ann (Marriage – 20 September 1975)

Miss Leslie Ann Zasoba became the bride of Matthew Allen Hemp on Saturday, September 20, in a 2:30 p.m. ceremony preformed at the Neillsville United Church of Christ. The Rev. William Noble of the United Methodist Church officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. Zasoba, West Allis, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Hemp, Neillsville.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of white polyester sheer styled with a high neckline cameo yoke trimmed with Brussels lace embroidery, lantern sleeves, flounced hemline and chapel length train. Her fingertip veil was trimmed in Brussels lace. An arrangement of orchids and apricot and white roses formed her wedding bouquet.

Miss Sheree Jacobson, Franklin, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Mark Hemp, Miss Vicki Maslowski of Marshfield, Miss Terri Schweiger of Milwaukee and Miss Jodi Jacobson of Franklin. Their gowns of apricot polyester knit featured cameo yoke detailing and Brussels lace embroidery. Matching hats and baskets of mums, daisies and baby’s breath completed their ensembles.

Jill Jacobson was the flower girl.

Attending the groom were Melvin Hemp, Madison, as bestman and Mark Hemp, Michael Hemp, of Marshfield and Michael Kuchenbecker and Merlin Hemp as groomsmen. James Zschernitz and Jeff Fitzmaurice served as ushers.

Soloist Kerri Maslowski sang “The Wedding Song” and “Young Love.” Mrs. Glenn Short was the organist and Ann Short, the guitarist.

A reception was held at Bali Hai Supper Club.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of West Allis Central High School. Her husband, a 1972 graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed by the Clark County Highway Department.

The newlyweds are making their home on Rt. 1, Neillsville. They plan a wedding trip for a later date.
