Poppe, Josie Marie (4 OCT 1975)

Josie Marie Poppe was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Poppe, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), to Ronald Robert Schoelzel Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schoelzel, Curtiss (Clark Co.), on October 4, 1975.

The Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold performed the 2:30 p.m. ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee.

Mrs. Herman Rabska and Ann Hansen were organists, with Mrs. Del Buss as soloist.

A 4 p.m. dinner was held at the church, with a reception and dance following at The Sword in Colby.

The bride chose a white crepe gown trimmed with pearls and featured a cathedral length train trimmed with white lace, and a matching fingertip veil. Her bouquet was made of yellow roses, rust mums and baby's breath.

Lori Poppe, Withee, was maid of honor, Mrs. Larry Klabon, Withee, Robin Schoelzel, Curtiss, and Mrs. Ron Poppe, Withee, were bridesmaids.

They each wore a yellow fall print gown and carried a single yellow rose accented with baby's breath.

The bridegroom's best man was Jerry Niznik, Withee, with Rod Schoelzel, Curtiss, John Germain, Withee, and Ron Poppe, Withee, as groomsmen.

Ushers were Danny Poppe, Withee, and Randy Schoelzel, Curtiss.

The couple both graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1975. They are making their home in Colby.
