Brown, Jean (9 JUN 1922 – 3 NOV 1975)
Mrs. Harold Brown, known in this area as Jeanie Brown, passed away Monday
morning, November 3, 1975. She had been a patient at the Salinas Hospital,
California, the past five months.
Jean Brown was born in Illinois on June 9, 1922. She then lived in Owen (Clark
Co., Wis.) and married Harold Brown in 1941. They resided in several different
areas prior to returning to Owen. Jean held several positions while a resident
here, having served as a switchboard operator with the telephone company, in
addition to serving for several years as secretary of the Owen Junior Fair. She
then moved to Soledad, California to rejoin her husband, who preceded her in
death, having passed away in 1969.
She is survived by her mother, several brothers and sisters, as well as three
sons and four daughters: Warren Brown, Withee, Roger Brown, Livermore,
California, and Harold Brown, Soledad, California; four daughters, Mrs. Donald
Hatchelt, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Rocci Martinonie, Gonzales, California,
and Myra Brown, also of Soledad, and 10 grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown is now residing at Terry Funeral Home, Soledad, California, from
where funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock this morning, Thursday,
November 5th.
