Rhoades, Kathy Ann (Marriage – 6 September 1975)

Miss Kathy Ann Rhoades and John Carl Meihak were married Saturday, September 6, in a 1 p.m. ceremony performed by the Rev. Richard Hansen at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church. Afterwards, the newlyweds were honored at a 4:30 p.m. dinner and at a 9 p.m. dance at the Inwood Ballroom, Hatfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Blazejovsky, Hatfield, are the bride’s sister and brother-in-law. She was presented in marriage by her brother-in-law. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meihak, Rt. 3 Neillsville.

For her marriage, the bride chose a gown of polyester organza trimmed with nylon lace and fashioned with an attached chapel train. Her Camelot headpiece, trimmed with matching lace, secured a chapel length veil. Orange mums and white roses formed her wedding bouquet.

Cindy Moore, Alma Center, was the honor attendant. Bridesmaids included Sue Wissing, Hatfield, Shirley Meihak, Neillsville, Barbara Propp, Black River Falls, and Dyann Blazejovsky, Hatfield. Their cotton voile gowns in shades of coral, lavender, pink and blue floral, were accented by lacey assorted-color ribbons. They carried coral, pink, lavender and blue bouquets of roses and mums.

Kellie Murphy was the flower girl and Darrell Propp, the ringbearer.

Attending the groom were Tim Kren, Neillsville, as bestman and Rick Kuhn, Jerald Sebesta and Gary Meihak, all of Neillsville, and Harold John Propp, Black River Falls, as groomsmen. Leslie Rhoades and Danial Meihak shared ushering duties.

Barbara Hyde sang “The Wedding Song.”

A 1975 graduate of Black River Falls Senior High School, the bride is employed as a waitress at a Hatfield Supper Club. A farmer and patrolman for the Town of Washburn, her husband graduated from Neillsville High School in 1973.

They will live on Rt. 1 Neillsville, following their return from a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park.
