Landino, Margaret Ann (Marriage – 6 September 1975)
Miss Margaret Ann Landino became the bride of Bruce Mason Rakestraw in a 5:30
p.m. candlelight service performed Saturday, September 6, at the Neillsville
United Church of Christ by the Rev. Gary Clark. Following the ceremony, a
reception was held at Bali Hai Supper Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Landino, Eau Claire. She was
presented in marriage by her father. Mr. and Mrs. J. Otto Rakestraw, Rt. 3
Neillsville, are the groom’s parents.
Mrs. Michael H. Finney, Neillsville, sister of the bride, was her matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mona Wendtland, Madison, Mrs. Gerald King, Eau
Claire, Mrs. Charles Mueller, Hudson, and Mrs. Wendell Kuhn, Neillsville. Lisa
J. Finney and Sara J. Finney acted as flower girls.
The groom was attended by Larry Keller as bestman and by Marcus Schultz, John
Bergemann, Gerald Hagedorn and Bradley Roberts as groomsmen. Guests were seated
by Glenn Kuehnel, Michael Finney and Roy Bieneck.
James Ryder was the soloist and Mrs. Deon Spangler, the organist.
The bride was honored at pre-nuptial showers given by Mrs. Otto Rakestraw and
Mrs. David Rakestraw, by Mrs. Gerald King, and by Mrs. Wendell Kuhn and Mrs.
Marcus Schultz.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the new Mrs. Rakestraw
teaches at Sunburst Youth Homes in Neillsville. Her husband is employed by a
local furniture and hardware store.
The couple will live at 305 West St. in Neillsville.
