De La Kruz, Sandra Jean (23 July 1958 – 4 January 2020)

Sandra Jean De La Kruz (Montgomery) died peacefully at home Jan. 4, 2020, in Neillsville at the age of 61.

Sandy was born July 23, 1958, in Marshfield to Irving and Lucille (Sersch) Montgomery. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1976;. She married in 1978 and had one son, Luis, in 1980, then later divorced. After receiving her nursing degree in 1990, she had worked as a registered nurse at hospitals in Neillsville for 18 years and then in Eau Claire.

Sandy is survived by her son, Luis; grandson Armin; and step-granddaughters Serena and Lexi. She is also survived by sisters Charmain Fox, Cindy (Don) Swartz, Karen (Adrian) Alleshaski; brothers Charles, and Jay (Linda) Montgomery; and nieces and nephews Cassandra, Kayla, Matt, Lucy, Beth (Shawn), Alison (Tim), Chris, BGen, Shanon and Philip.

She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew Armin.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Jan. 25, service is at 12 noon, at Living Hope Evangelical Church, (7 Fairground Ave. Neillsville, WI 54456), with a potluck to follow. Pastor Steve Wentz will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sandy’s life. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite local charity.
