A beautiful June wedding took place at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Saturday, June 21st, 1975 at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon, when the Rev. Jack Olson performed the ceremony which united Mis Deborah K. Nelson and James K, Erickson in Marriage.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norris Nelson of Eau Claire, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Erickson, Appleton, and the late Emery Erickson, both former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) residents.

Prior to the processional members of the bridal party sang "Follow Me," after which the bride was escorted to the altar by her parents. The altar was adorned with two bouquets of small white and yellow mums and four bouquets of peonies. Before the exchange of vows Barry Babbitt rendered a vocal solo, "Morning Has Broken." Following he ring service the newlyweds lighted the Unity Candle.

The bride wore a bridal gown of nylon and lace applique around the full skirt and V-neckline, fashioned with long sleeves, extending into a train. The lace was of a tinted yellow, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and gardenias.

Attending the bride as bridesmaid was Miss Shelby Klein, with bridesmaids Miss Sonja Nelson, Miss Sandy Lange, and Miss Joanne Byrnes. They wore identical gowns of yellow flowered voile and large picture hats. Their bouquets were of white and yellow daisies.

The groom was attired in an all-white tux with white ruffled shirt front and black bow tie.

Attending the groom were his cousin, Kevin Mahoney as best man, and groomsmen, Jack Wagener, Peter Mauel, and Tom Byrnes. They were all attired in summer tux of white brocaded jackets, yellow ruffled shirt, black trousers, and bow ties, and wore yellow rose boutonnieres.

Ushering were John Ziehlsdorff and Ray Griffin.

A reception was held in the church's beautiful central garden and reception hall of the church. There wwere about one hundred and fifty guests.

Following their wedding trip the newlyweds will make their home in Eau Claire, where the bride is employed at Luther Hospital and the groom, a 1975 graduate, is anticipating work in his field.
