Steven J. “Steve” Scharenbrock, 64, Willard, passed away at House of the Dove in Marshfield on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring of 2020.

Steven John Scharenbrock was born on Sept. 5, 1955, in Chicago, Ill., the son of John and Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Thiel) Scharenbrock. He was raised and received his education in Chicago, graduating in 1974 from Gordon Technical High School in Chicago. After completing high school, Steve worked for a food distribution company in Chicago until moving to Willard in 1981. He worked for Fleming Foods Company in Marshfield for several years. After they closed, Steve worked at Heartland Co-op in Greenwood, and drove school bus for the Greenwood School District. His last employment was with Grassland Dairy in Greenwood until his retirement. He was a member of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation and the Willard Historical Society. Steve had many interests, but especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Steve is survived by his wife, Linda, of Willard; one step-son: Josh (Gina) Thorson of Medford; three step-grandchildren: Brynn, Blake and Ty Thorson; two sisters: Sandra Scharenbrock of Phoenix, Ariz., and Susan Scharenbrock of Chicago, Ill.; one uncle: Jim (Joan) Scharenbrock of Ocean Isle, N.C.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
