Jacob Beyerl and son, Daniel, of Colby drove to Rochester Saturday and brought home Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bitter of Abbotsford. Mrs. Bitter has been a patient in St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester for four weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bakken of rural Colby had at a Christmas gathering at their home, their seven daughters and their families. They were Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Mavis) Elwell of Woodland Park, California; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle (Jermaine) Peterson, Rhonda, Brian and Kimberly of Logan, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Marvel) Moen, Danny and Kristie of Dundee, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Delors (Jeanette) Anderson, Tammy, Mathew, Jeanine, and Todd of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Lindner, Michelle, John, Valarie and Mitchell of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. David (Carolyn) LaPoint of Marshfield. They also celebrated five birthdays, which occurred in the family during the holiday. The Bakken's two sons and their families of Northwood, Iowa, were unable to join the gathering.

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Kauffman, Kenny and Andrew, of Sheldon, and Mrs. Paul Kauffman and children, Colby, were dinner guests of Mrs. John Anderson Sunday evening.

Guests at the Chris Jensen home on Christmas Day were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jensen and family of rural Abbotsford, Miss Birdell Jensen of Madison, and Marvin Jensen, St. Paul. Marvin, who attends Concordia College, St. Paul, returned there January 3, after a two week vacation at the home of his parents.

Pvt. Michael Wiegel, the former Karen Jensen, visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen, from December 10 to December 23. On December 24 they drove to Chicago to spend the holiday with the Gene Anderson family. Mrs. Anderson is the former Sylvia Jensen.

Mrs. Chris Jensen has returned to her teaching duties in the elementary school at Marathon, after spending Christmas vacation at her home.
