Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Polzin of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), attended the U.S. Naval Reserves awards presentation at the armory at Stevens Point Monday evening.

Their son, FA John Polzin, is in the naval reserve in the Stevens Point unit.

The unit received the 9th District Commandant's Trophy as a Number 1 unit selected among 21 divisions in the 13 states 9th naval district. It was also recognized for ranking as the Number 4 unit from among over 300 small surface divisions in the United States.
