Korntved, Mr./Mrs. Anton (60th – 7 JUL 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Anton Korntved of Unity (Clark Co., Wis.) celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 4, 1970.

They received family and friends at their home from 3 to 4 o'clock and entertained at a family dinner at the Redwood Club, Unity, at 5 o'clock.

Mrs. Korntved complemented her dress with a corsage of pink roses and Mr. Korntved wore a boutonniere. A special gift to the couple was a money tree from their great-grandchildren.

The couple was married July 7, 1910 at the Lutheran Church in Spencer by the Rev. Schmitt. Mrs. Korntved was Frieda Voth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Voth. She was born March 24, 1893, and attended Willow Brook School.

Mr. Korntved was born October 6, 1887, in the town of Brighton (Marathon Co., Wis.), son of Mr. and Mr.s Andrew Korntved. He was educated at Romeo.

He had been a patrolman on Highway 13 for 16 years, retiring in 1955. He also was a member of the school and town boards.

The couple has four children: Mrs. Gladys Ringquist, Spencer, Mrs. Andrew (Loretta) Peters, Mishicot, Mrs. Joseph (Merle) Breuer, Chicago, and Donald Korntved, Unity. There are 16 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Both are enjoying good health. They pursue hobbies of fishing and hunting on his part, and knitting and gardening for Mrs. Korntved.
