Motelet, B. Helen (20 JUN 1970)
After a honeymoon trip to eastern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. William Ole Johnson
are residing at 2133-A Main Street, Stevens Point.
They were married Saturday noon, June 20, 1970 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church
in Abbotsford, with the Rev. Emil Hodnik reading the nuptial mass. The church
choir sang.
The former B. Helen Motelet chose a polyester organza gown accented with
flowered cotton lace appliqued on the jewel neckline, lantern sleeves, and
detachable Watteau train. It was fashioned with a high-rise waistline and the
fingertip veil was attached to a Camelot headpiece accented with cotton lace
daisies. A cascade arrangement of pink roses, white and blue daisies and
stephanotis was the bridal bouquet.
The new Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Motelet of
Abbotsford, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson of
Dorchester. Her father gave her in marriage.
Attending the bride were Mrs. John Gleisner, Miss Mary Ann Johnson, and Mrs.
Heinz Rychter, wearing aqua cotton ottoman princes line dresses with peekaboo
backs and built trains. They had matching Camelot headpieces and carried baskets
of pink, blue, white, and yellow daisies and carnations.
Best man was Alfred Weidman and groomsmen were John Johnson and Robert Motelet.
Serving as ushers were Dale Majerus and Jack Jensen.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Abbotsford City Hall, and
dinner was served in the church hall.
A prenuptial bridal shower was given the bride by employees at St. Michael's
Hospital Laboratory, where she is employed as a medical technologist. Mrs.
Edward Staab also hosted a shower in her honor.
The bride is a graduate of Wisconsin state University, Stevens Point, where the
groom is a student.
Wedding guests came from Abbotsford, Dorchester, Medford, Stevens Point,
Tomahawk, Withee, Racine, Marshfield, Colby, Owen and St. Francis, St. Paul,
Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, Washington, and Peru, Nebraska.
