The three boys are John Beyerl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Beyerl of route 1, Colby, Leon Dommer, son of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Dommer of route 1, Spencer, and Jerry Martin (Marten?), also route 1, Spencer.

The degree is bestowed annually on two percent of the state membership.

The presentation was made at the state convention at Green Lake this week. The convention was Monday to Wednesday, with the degrees conferred the last day.

Colby chapter delegates were Dennis Engel, chapter secretary, and Dave Rau, reporter.

Accompanying the five boys were Don Steffen and Sam Nelson, agriculture instructors.

Leon has been a chapter officer for two years, reporter last year and treasurer this year. He has had a top rated dairy program throughout his four years of high school. Leo plans to attend a farm short course at Madison this winter.
