Ramker, Karen (18 APR 1970)

Carrying red roses with miniature white carnations, Karen Ramker became the bride of Gary Grieser, Mosinee. The April 18, 1970 ceremony at the Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, was a 1 p.m. Pastor David Pankow officiated.

Mr. and Merlin Ramker, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Grieser, Mosinee, are the parents of the newlyweds.

Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Voss, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, were honor attendants. Other attendants were Marlene Ramker, another sister of the bride, and Sandy and Lynell Grieser, sisters of the groom. The groom's attendants include the groom's brother, Kenneth Grieser, the bride's brother, Merlin J. Ramker, and a cousi of the groom, David Viegut.

Mike Ramker and Mike Landwehr ushered. The flor length bridal gown was of Chantilly lace and silk organza. It featured a jeweled neckline and long lady bishop sleeves. The full skirt was designed with tiers of lace down the front and her train was detachable.

The attendants' floor length formals of Ottoman were of A-line silhouettes with panel effect skirts of deep orchid Venice lace. Satin ribbon trimmed the necklines and the panels in the backs. Their pouf veils were held by matching headpieces. Each carried boquets of pink roses with assoreted colored carnations.

Music during the ceremony was provided by Lynell Grieser, singing "The Lord's Prayer," and Mrs. Paul Syron, who sang "The Wedding Prayer."

Festivities including a reception, supper and dancing were at the Trianon Ballroom.

A 1965 graduate of Mosinee High School, the groom is a bookkeeper at Weyerhaeuser in Marshfield. His bride, a graduate of Colby High School in 1966, is employed in the business office at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Following a wedding trip the couple will be making their home at 103 North Pine in Marshfield.

Wedding guests from out of town came from Minnesota, Texas, Oshkosh, Adams, Wisconsin Rapids, Appleton, Schofield, Wausau, Brookfield, Stratford, Rhinelander and Edgar.
