Four junior class members of the Colby High School were selected last week to represent the school at Badger Boys and Girls State.

The week long period of activity will be June 13 to 20 for each. The girls will be at the University of Wisconsin campus at Madison, and the boys will attend Ripon College at Ripon.

The Badger Girls selected are Debby Firnstahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Firnstahl, and Cathy Becker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Becker, route 2, Colby (Clark Co., Wis.). They are sponsored by the Colby American Legion Auxiliary No. 266 and the Unity unit of the American Legion Auxiliary N. 358.

The alternatives are Debbie Rickard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rickard of Colby, and Diane Baumgartner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Baumgartner of Colby.

The Badger Boys selected are Chester Pawlowicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Pawlowicz, Colby, sponsored by the Raymond-Firnstahl Post 266 of Colby, and Jerry Eggebrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Eggebrecht of rural Colby, sponsored by the Otto H. Kops Post 358 of Unity.

The alternates are Kenneth Dommer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonhard Dommer, and David Bedroske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bedroske.

The Badger Boys and Girls programs are sponsored by the Legion and Auxiliary to teach government organizations and practices to the high school juniors.
